June 2017 

Alien She Zine will be co-hosting a Late Night Lit Event on 22 June the 2017 Emerging Writers Festival  alongside Voiceworks and The Suburban Review. Featured writers & artists TBA.

March 2017 

Two of our editors, Loni Jeffs & Mia-Francesca McAuslan, became resident writers at Brunswick SLSC. The publication will now be affiliated with this artist collective.

January 2017 

Alien She Zine was added to the collections of The National Library of Australia. The site is now archived and accessible to the public in the Library’s Reading Rooms.

November 2016 

Summer Sights & Sounds: The first of a reading/screening series featuring writers Rose Barnsley, Loni Jeffs & Lauren Shelley; short films by Claudia Rose Holmes & Fanny Mac; and visuals/sounds by High Counsel.

Alien She participated in a showcase at Abbotsford Convent’s ‘Open Spaces Festival’ as leading representatives of independent publishing for ‘Print Space’.

Alien She Zine was awarded a grant from RMIT’s Link Arts funding. This went to the publication of a chapbook series released at Open Spaces 2016. The continuity of this publication is credited to RMIT Link Arts.

Alien She Zine was invited to undertake a residency at The Urban Writing House in partnership with RMIT’s nonfiction lab.

Reading Night at The Urban Writing House featured writers Rose Barnsley, Dylan Murphy, Alex Gerrans, Angel Doberman with visuals by Fanny Mac Films.
